Kane Counseling Services was founded in 2014 by Dr. Erica Kane.

The clinic was formed with the goal of providing mental health services without the long wait-times encountered at other local clinics.

Dr. Erica Kane, PsyD, HSPP
Clinical and
Forensic Psychologist
Dr. Erica Kane, PsyD, HSPP is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Credentialed Health Service Provider in Psychology. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology .

 

Dr. Kane has 20+ years' experience providing mental health services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Her therapy specialties include PTSD, anxiety disorders, high conflict families, and services to the LGBTQ+ community. Dr. Kane is an EMDR trained psychologist specializing in PTSD.

Dr. Kane provides psychological forensic work in Family and Criminal Law. She has completed evaluations and served as an expert witness in many cases. Dr. Kane is a Registered Domestic Relations Mediator for the State of Indiana, and assists courts as a Guardian ad Litem and Parenting Coordinator

Dr. Kane serves on boards for Safe at Home, Inc. Domestic Violence Prevention and Awareness, and Henry County Veterans' Court. She is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, The American Psychology Law Society, American Psychologists in Private Practice, the American Psychological Association, and the Indiana Psychological Association.


Dr. Kane is a Wartime / Combat Veteran who served in numerous international conflicts during her time in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Jesse is the Office Manager at Kane Counseling. She acts as General Manager for the practice. She is responsible for working with vendors, scheduling appointments, billing questions, and other business related questions.

Jesse has been with Kane Counseling since we opened in 2015. She literally "wrote the book" for the operations of the practice. She can answer almost any question you could possibly ask.

Courtney Cromas.jpg
Courtney Cromas, MA received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Ball State University in 2014 and 2016, respectively.  Courtney has been with Kane Counseling since 2016.

Courtney provides individual, couples, family therapy. Her clinical interests include LGBTQ+ issues, mood and anxiety issues, and interpersonal relationships. She is also an EMDR trained therapist specializing in trauma and PTSD.
 
Courtney is an recognized expert in LGBTQ+ issues and has clients from all over the state seek out treatment from her.

Dick Rogers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been providing counseling services to Henry and surrounding counties for more than 30 years. He has been with Kane Counseling since 2015.
​
His specialties include teens and adults, high conflict families, and those who benefit from a direct approach to therapy.
​
Dick's hours are primarily evenings and weekends in-person.

Jo Ann Ahels is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate Counselor. She was previously a Family Law attorney and has a long histroy of providing services to high conflict families.

Kelsie George holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with a minor in Family Science from Anderson University, and a Master's of Social Work from Western New Mexico University.

Kirby Bott holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Creative Arts from Indiana University, and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
 
Kirby provides individual, couples, and family therapy. Her clinical interests include mood and anxiety issues, spectrum diagnoses, and interpersonal relationships. She also has experience specifically working with children and adolescents and their families within the home and school setting, utilizing ABA techniques and training.

Kirby provides treatment to adults, teens, and children ages 4+.
She provides services via telehealth only.

Mariah obtained her B.S in psychological sciences and her M.A. in mental health counseling at Ball State University in 2018 and 2020 respectively.

Mariah is a therapist with a variety of clinical experiences acting as an advocate with a listening ear.  She enjoys working with young children, adults, parent-child dyads, and families from a family systems model as well as the client-centered model.

Mariah utilizes interventions that align with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), feminist theory,  interpersonal theory, as well as play therapy interventions.

Mariah enjoys thinking outside of the box and working alongside each client to learn new skills to help them achieve what they wish to get out of therapy. Mariah’s wish is for those who begin services with her to feel heard, valued, and cared for.

Duke has been with Kane Counseling since 2017. He is a Golden Retriever and Therapy Dog. He grew up to be the biggest Golden Retriever his Doggy Doctor has ever seen, weighing in at 130lbs! He is our "office only" Therapy Dog because he is too big to come into session.
 
Duke loves ANY kind of attention from humans, dogs, cats, lizards, fish, pigs, horses, cows, goats, sheep, and turtles.

Ella was born in January 2021. She is currently in-training to become a (smaller than Duke) Therapy Dog.

Ella likes bothering her big brothers, chewing up boxes and important items, playing tug 'o war, and ear scratches.

Decker was born in October 2001 (yes, 2001!). He is old, but will still play fetch for as long as you'll throw a ball or squeaky pig.

Decker can be found napping on his pillow during therapy sessions.
